Job summary

SIN HUAT PRESS (MELAKA) SDN BHD is seeking a Quality Assurance Executive to uphold our ISO-aligned QA/QC framework and ensure product quality across raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.

The role focuses on SOP compliance, documentation control, internal audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement, in a fast-paced packaging environment serving global brands. You will collaborate with multiple departments to drive quality and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quality-related field or engineering with understanding of QA/QC concepts.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and food safety standards.
• Experience with audit processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and communicate findings clearly.
• Proactive, able to work independently and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure incoming raw materials, in-process production, and finished products meet specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate internal audits, management reviews, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare QA/QC documentation, COAs, audit reports and test records.
• Investigate defects and customer complaints and drive root-cause analysis.
• Support external certification audits and regulatory inspections.

Job description

Ensure company operations comply with internal policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Establish, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.

Maintain proper documentation control for quality procedures, work instructions, records, and forms to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance.

Coordinate and lead internal audits, management review meetings, corrective action follow-ups, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support external certification audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.

Quality Assurance & Control

Ensure incoming raw materials, in-process production, and finished products meet approved specifications and quality standards.

Monitor and analyze quality performance indicators such as defect rates, customer complaints, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and rejection trends.

Investigate product defects, quality issues, and customer complaints by conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Prepare and maintain quality inspection reports, test records, Certificates of Analysis (COA), audit reports, and other QA/QC documentation.

Ensure production processes are carried out in accordance with approved specifications, SOPs, GMP, HACCP, and food safety requirements.

Recommend and implement process improvement initiatives to reduce defects, wastage, downtime, and customer rejections.

Customer & Supplier Quality Management

Handle customer complaints, feedback, and product non-conformities professionally and within the required timeline.

Coordinate with suppliers regarding quality-related issues, supplier audits, corrective actions, and improvement plans.

Work closely with Production, Customer Service, Purchasing, Finance, and Warehouse departments to improve operational efficiency and product quality.

Reporting & Data Analysis

Prepare quality performance reports and present findings during management review meetings.

Maintain accurate records of audit findings, inspection results, testing data, and quality performance metrics.

Conduct data analysis and provide recommendations to management to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management, Food Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.

Minimum 2–4 years of working experience in document control, ISO management systems, quality assurance, or quality control.

Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, food safety standards, and quality management systems.

Good understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, audit processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and report-writing skills.

Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively across departments.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and quality documentation systems.
