Job summary

Carsem (M) Sdn. Bhd is a leading semiconductor packaging and test services provider with multiple factories in Ipoh, Malaysia. The QA function leads customer quality, drives continuous improvement, and ensures compliance to IATF 16949 across assigned accounts.

The role requires hands-on 8D, CAPA, FMEA, and SPC experience, strong leadership, and effective stakeholder management. You will interact with cross-functional teams and act as the primary quality contact for customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience in customer quality management and customer complaint handling.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality requirements.
• Hands-on experience with 8D, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer complaints and work with internal teams to investigate issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
• Manage customer quality KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Understand customer requirements and specifications for assigned accounts.
• Lead, coach, and develop the QA team to achieve quality goals.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and drive improvement actions.
• Ensure quality systems and procedures are properly implemented and followed.
• Act as the main contact for customers on quality-related matters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support knowledge transfer and smooth handover of customer accounts within the team.
