Job summary

S.H Stainless Steel Contractor Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior QA/QC Inspector to oversee quality inspections across production, fabrication, and construction. You will supervise junior inspectors, maintain inspection records, support audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

You will interpret engineering drawings and standards, lead FATs and welding checks, document NCRs, and guide CAPA actions. Strong leadership and coordination skills are essential for ensuring product integrity and

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of work experience in QA/QC inspection, preferably in manufacturing, fabrication, stainless steel, or construction.
• Proven experience in quality inspection, welding inspection, dimensional inspection, material inspection, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specs, welding procedures, and quality standards.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS, inspection procedures, and relevant industry standards.
• Familiar with NCRs, RCA, CAPA, and quality documentation.
• Experience with inspection tools and measuring instruments.
• Good leadership, communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process work, and finished products to verify compliance.
• Interpret drawings, specs, and codes to plan inspection strategies.
• Lead or support FATs, welding inspections, painting verifications, and dimensional checks.
• Issue NCRs and assist in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Maintain records of inspection findings, test results, and calibration data.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve quality issues and uphold product integrity.
• Assist in internal and external audits (ISO, customer, regulatory).
• Provide mentorship to junior QC inspectors and supervise their daily activities.
• Ensure correct use and calibration of inspection equipment.
• Monitor quality performance and report recurring issues to QEHS Manager.
• Carry out other tasks as directed by QAQC Manager or Quality Lead.
