Job summary

SF Metal Sdn Bhd, Penang, Malaysia, seeks a senior QA leader to head the quality assurance function on the shop floor. You will guide QA engineers, supervisors, and inspectors, driving performance, audits, and supplier quality metrics.

The role focuses on strengthening QMS, CAPA, and process control across sheet metal and machining operations, ensuring zero-defect products and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading QA teams and setting quality strategy.
• Ability to conduct performance evaluations and develop staff.
• Experience with IQC/IPQC/OQA processes.
• Familiarity with internal and external quality audits.
• Strong CAPA and root-cause investigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily QA activities including audits.
• Manage floor inspections and IPQC/final buy-offs.
• Plan internal QMS audits across departments.
• Serve as MR for QMS with stakeholders.
• Lead 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone root-cause investigations.
• Prepare data-driven quality metrics for management reviews.
• Ensure compliance with QMS, regulatory and safety directives.
• Maintain QMS documentation and SOPs/WIs.
