Job summary

Myamax Precision Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd in Melaka is seeking a seasoned quality professional to implement and maintain the quality control system within the company’s QMS. You will drive continuous improvement, conduct RCA/CAPA, and support customer complaints with technical investigations.

Work closely with plating suppliers to enhance process capability, review plating parameters, and lead internal ISO audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in metal finishing, surface treatment, machining or manufacturing.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 and 14001, internal audits, and quality tools (FMEA, SPC, 8D, DMAIC).
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with production, engineering and suppliers.

Responsibilities

Job description

Implement and maintain the efficient quality control system within the company quality management system and recommend improvements as needed.

Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce quality issues and customer complaints.

Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issue with internal and suppliers.

Support customer complaints and provide technical investigation and corrective-action.

Work closely with plating suppliers/vendors to improve process capability and quality performance through supplier’s meeting and supplier audits.

Review plating bath/process parameters and coordinate with plating technicians or suppliers to maintain process control.

Prepare quality reports, corrective-action reports and other quality documentation.

Verify, dispose and endorse on the disposition of non-conforming parts.

Perform internal quality system audit for ISO and relevant standards and line audit on the internal processes in company.

Guide sub-ordinates in solving technical problem and assess their performance.

Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 5 years working experience on the related position is required, preferable in metal finishing, surface treatment, machining or manufacturing.

Familiar with ISO 9001 and 14001 standard, ISO internal audit, FMEA, SPC, 8D Problem Solving, DMAIC and Control Plan.

Able to work independently and collaborate with production, engineering and suppliers.
