Job summary

Chemlite Industries Sdn Bhd invites a quality engineering professional to ensure product quality from supplier to customer. You will perform process audits, drive corrective actions, and lead 8D investigations to prevent recurrence.

The role requires understanding of surface finishing processes and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and logistics teams. With 2–4 years in quality roles, you will review processes, monitor KPIs, and contribute to CIP programs while communicating

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Materials Science) or related field.
• 2-4 years of quality engineering or quality control experience.
• Knowledge of surface treatment processes (plating, coating).
• Experience with testing methods (corrosion, adhesion).
• Familiarity with quality control tools (SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma).
• Good communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential quality problems with customers daily.
• Continuously review processes for improvements to reduce complaints.
• Perform process audits and implement corrective actions/follow up.
• Lead investigations into defects using 8D and other methods.
• Understand engineering drawings/documents and train QC team.
• Monitor KPI and assist CIP programs with the team.
• Other ad hoc tasks as assigned by Dept. Manager.

Job description

Communicate daily with customer to identify potential problems with the quality before they become serious issues.

Continuously review process to look for process improvement activities to control customer complaint.

Perform process audits and take appropriate corrective action / follow up.

Recommend solutions to non-conforming material through designated channels.

Act immediately for customer complaint and RMA and ensure information flow related to customer returns to appropriately address design (hardware and software), manufacturing, packaging, and logistics causes.

Organise customer SQE inspection as customer request.

Analyse, compile, review and regularly report customer quality metrics such as DPPM and RCCA/CAPA.

Responsible for Self-Assessment audit management.

Ensure appropriate and timely communications of CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) programs to the customer support effective and appropriate change management, in accordance with agreed upon customer requirements.

Conducting investigations into customer complaints about product defects or errors in order to determine the cause of the problem and how to prevent it from happening again by using 8D and others.

Understand the Engineering and customer drawing/document and train the QC.

Work out for Continuous Improvement Plan, implementation, and monitoring.

Assist Quality Manager in monitoring the quality objective (KPI) and analysing performance.

Other ad hoc job task arranges by Department Manager.

Qualification:

Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Science). or related field.

2-4 years of experience in quality engineering or quality control, preferably in surface finishing or related processes.

Knowledge of surface treatment processes (e.g., plating, coating).

Experience with testing methods (corrosion, adhesion).

Familiarity with quality control tools (SPC, FMEA, SIX Sigma).

Good communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
