Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Shell for BIOS/UEFI validation across Windows and Linux.

You will support boot, power management, and regression validation, analyze logs with firmware/OS teams, and drive test coverage improvements. Multilingual communication is valued, with English, Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, CS or related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in automation, validation, firmware, or technical support.
• Proficient in Python and Shell scripting; Windows and Linux experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient in English, Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia (written & spoken).
• Candidates with full working rights for Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Shell, or similar tools.
• Automate BIOS/UEFI validation test cases across Windows and Linux platforms.
• Support test execution for boot, power management, sleep states, peripherals, and regression validation.
• Analyze logs and debug failures with firmware, OS, and validation teams.
• Improve test coverage, reporting, and automation efficiency.
• Track issues in Jira and provide regular status updates.
