Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our team. You will perform manual and automation testing on customer-related and internal R&D projects, creating test documents and maintaining automation frameworks.

You'll work with lab equipment, learn new technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. English and Mandarin proficiency are required, with experience in embedded testing and scripting a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical/EE/CS/Mechatronics or related
• Prior R&D experience preferred
• Experience in embedded software testing roles
• Knowledge of software testing concepts and techniques
• Experience with mobile-based industry is a plus
• Knowledge of cellular network technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G) beneficial
• Experience with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, meters)
• 6+ years in embedded software testing is a plus
• Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu)
• Basic understanding of OOP or scripting
• Test automation, API testing and Python/C based frameworks
• C, Perl and Python programming a plus
• ISTQB CTFL/CTAL advantageous
• Can-do attitude with growth mindset
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Detail-oriented with high-quality delivery
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Proficient in English and Mandarin

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automation testing and report bugs
• Create test documents: test cases, scripts, reports and plans
• Maintain and develop automation scripts and tools
• Work on customer-related and internal R&D projects in teams
• Provide technical support to customers or colleagues
• Participate in knowledge-sharing activities
• Use laboratory measurement and simulation equipment on devices
• Learn new required technologies and tools
• Assist in ad-hoc tasks as required
