Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a hardware validation engineer to perform post-silicon validation across silicon, BIOS, firmware, and operating systems. You will verify new silicon functionality, develop validation procedures, and work with platform teams to ensure quality and reliability.

The role involves debugging hardware/firmware issues, supporting customer-reported problems, and preparing detailed validation reports for cross-functional engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in validation, hardware, firmware, or system-level testing preferred.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware architecture (CPU, GPU, PCIe).
• Experience with Windows/Linux OS interactions and server platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform post-silicon validation across silicon, BIOS, firmware, OS, and platform levels.
• Verify new silicon functionality against product specs using development platforms.
• Develop, execute, and maintain validation procedures and infrastructure.
• Investigate and root-cause hardware, firmware, BIOS, and system issues.
• Drive post-silicon debug activities with internal engineering teams.
• Support customer-reported issues by reproducing problems and validating fixes.
• Prepare validation reports, defect tracking, and test result analyses.
• Configure platforms including firmware flashing, BIOS config, and OS deployment.
• Validate platform on Windows, Ubuntu, Linux Server environments.
• Analyze validation results and propose improvements for performance and reliability.
