Jora Malaysia is seeking a hardware validation engineer to perform post-silicon validation across silicon, BIOS, firmware, and operating systems. You will verify new silicon functionality, develop validation procedures, and work with platform teams to ensure quality and reliability.
The role involves debugging hardware/firmware issues, supporting customer-reported problems, and preparing detailed validation reports for cross-functional engineering teams.

Perform post-silicon validation of Datacenter GPU features across silicon, BIOS, firmware, operating systems, and platform levels.
Verify new silicon functionality against product specifications using development and reference platforms.
Execute validation test plans and ensure compliance with design requirements and quality standards.
Develop, execute, and maintain validation methodologies, test procedures, and validation infrastructure.
Investigate, debug, and perform root cause analysis for hardware, firmware, BIOS, and system-level issues identified during validation.
Drive post-silicon debug activities and collaborate with internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
Support customer-reported issues by reproducing problems, identifying root causes, and verifying corrective actions.
Lead and participate in technical discussions to drive issue resolution and technical initiatives.
Perform platform setup activities including firmware (IFWI) flashing, BIOS configuration, operating system deployment, and software installation.
Configure and validate development platforms running Windows, Ubuntu, or Linux Server environments.
Perform system integration testing to ensure hardware and software compatibility.
Perform measurements and validation of high-speed digital interfaces to ensure compliance with industry specifications for timing, signal integrity, and performance.
Validate system functionality across varying silicon process, voltage, and temperature conditions.
Analyze validation results and recommend improvements to product performance and reliability.
Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, BIOS, and platform engineering teams to improve validation strategies, methodologies, and processes.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance validation efficiency, automation, and test coverage.
Prepare technical documentation, validation reports, defect tracking, and test result analysis.
Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior as required.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
Candidates with 5 years of validation, hardware, firmware, or system-level testing experience will have an added advantage.
Good understanding of computer hardware architecture including CPU, GPU, x86 architecture, PCIe, memory subsystems, and bus architecture.
Knowledge of BIOS, firmware, device drivers, and operating system interactions.
Familiarity with modern x86 processor architecture and Server GPU platforms is an added advantage.
Experience in validation methodology development, test planning, and test execution is preferred.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills at hardware, firmware, and system levels.
Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, Perl, or Shell scripting for automation and validation activities.
Experience working with Windows, Linux, Ubuntu, or Windows Server operating systems.
Familiarity with source code version control systems such as Git is an added advantage.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex technical issues.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Willing to learn new technologies and continuously improve technical competencies.
