Job summary

Dynamic Building System Sdn Bhd seeks a commercially sharp Senior Purchasing Executive (Steel Structure Specialist) to head procurement and supply chain at its Selangor HQ in Puchong. You will lead strategic sourcing for structural steel, factory consumables, and subcontractor services, driving cost savings and AVL integrity.

• Bachelor's degree in SCM or related field.
• 6–8 years purchasing in construction/steel, with 3+ years in lead role.
• Strong networks with local structural steel suppliers and 3PL.
• Ability to read structural material schedules, BOQ, and specs.
• Proven negotiation and cost-saving track record.

Responsibilities

• Head end-to-end procurement and sourcing strategies to support production and construction timelines.
• Identify and manage relationships with local and international suppliers; maintain AVL.
• Lead high-level negotiations on pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Forecast material requirements and coordinate with Design/Production/PMs.
• Review PRs, verify specs, and issue POs through ERP systems.
• Monitor market trends and mitigate price risks with proactive plans.
• Produce monthly cost analysis and KPI reporting for leadership.

SENIOR PURCHASING EXECUTIVE (STEEL STRUCTURE SPECIALIST)

We are seeking a commercially sharp and strategically minded Procurement Lead / Senior Purchasing Executive to head our corporate supply chain and purchasing operations at Dynamic Building System Sdn Bhd in Puchong, Selangor.

Based at our headquarters, you will take full accountability for the strategic sourcing, vendor management, and procurement of raw materials (structural steel sections, plates), fabrication factory consumables, site equipment, and sub-contractor services. Your primary mission is to optimize purchasing costs, secure highly favorable commercial terms, and build a resilient supply chain that ensures materials are delivered to our factory and sites on time, within budget, and up to engineering quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing

Procurement Function Leadership: Head, streamline, and manage the company's end-to-end procurement and sourcing strategies to support ongoing factory production and fast-paced construction site timelines.

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish strong relationships with reliable local and international steel mills, hardware suppliers, and logistics vendors; maintain an audited, high-performing Approved Vendor List (AVL).

Commercial Negotiation: Lead high-level negotiations regarding material pricing, payment terms, credit facilities, and delivery schedules to achieve maximum cost savings and protect the company's cash flow.

Material Planning & Coordination: Partner closely with the Design Manager, Factory Production Manager, and Project Managers to forecast raw material requirements (steel tonnage, plates, welding consumables) and prevent supply shortages.

Purchase Order (PO) Management: Oversee the complete process of reviewing purchase requisitions (PR), verifying technical specifications, and issuing legally binding Purchase Orders (POs) through internal ERP or accounting systems.

Supply Chain Risk & Integrity Mitigation: Monitor market trends, price fluctuations (especially in global steel markets), and supply chain logistics to implement proactive purchasing plans and mitigate price hike risks.

Compliance & Cost Control Reporting: Conduct thorough monthly cost analysis reports, price variance tracking, and supply performance metrics to present commercial data directly to senior leadership.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional procurement certifications are a significant advantage.

Experience: Minimum 6–8 years of robust purchasing and procurement experience within the Malaysian construction or structural steel industry, with at least 3 years acting in a lead or managerial capacity.

Industry Knowledge: Deep, established networks with local structural steel suppliers, raw material importers, industrial hardware vendors, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.

Technical Blueprint Literacy: Strong capability to read and understand structural material schedules, bill of quantities (BQ), and basic technical specifications to ensure accurate parts ordering.

Commercial & Negotiation Acumen: Sharp negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and a proven track record of securing favorable payment terms and bulk-purchase discount structures.

Software Proficiency: High proficiency in utilizing ERP systems, inventory management software, and advanced Microsoft Excel for cost data analysis.

Leadership & Integrity: A highly organized leader with uncompromising professional ethics, excellent communication skills, and the capability to make strategic purchasing decisions under pressure.
