Job summary

Amlex Technology Sdn Bhd in Penang, Seberang Perai, is seeking a Senior Purchasing Executive to plan and purchase stamping leadframes, raw blanks, and moulding resins, aligning with sales and customer service schedules. You will manage raw materials inventory, consignment arrangements, supplier relationships, and inbound/outbound to bonded warehouses, ensuring on-time production.

The role requires 4–5 years in manufacturing purchasing, basic ISO QMS understanding, and strong Excel/ERP skills;

Qualifications

• 4–5 years' experience in manufacturing purchasing.
• Basic ISO QMS understanding.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Fluent in English; Chinese preferred.
• Knowledge of materials planning and supplier negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and purchase materials based on input and schedule from sales/customer service for stamped leadframe, etched leadframe, raw blank materials for stamping production, and plastic resin for moulding production.
• Manage raw materials inventory, slow moving stock, and aging materials reporting both in-house and at supplier sites
• Manage raw materials pull-in arrangement to support production loading
• Manage raw materials consigned to supplier, including inventory tracking, system updating and reporting
• Release PO and manage subcon services
• Source and RFQ for new materials to support NPI project
• Plan and pull in consigned materials from plating to moulding production

The Senior Purchasing Executive is responsible for planning and purchasing materials based on input and schedules from sales and customer service, including stamped leadframe, etched leadframe, raw blank materials for stamping production, and plastic resin for moulding production. The role involves managing raw materials inventory, consignment arrangements, and supplier relationships to support production operations.

Key responsibilities

Plan and purchase materials based on input and schedule from sales/customer service for stamped leadframe, etched leadframe, raw blank materials for stamping production, and plastic resin for moulding production

Manage raw materials inventory, slow moving stock, and aging materials reporting both in-house and at supplier sites

Manage raw materials pull-in arrangement to support production loading

Manage raw materials consigned to supplier, including inventory tracking, system updating and reporting

Manage raw materials inbound and outbound to bonded warehouse

Plan and pull in consigned materials from plating to moulding production

Manage consignment materials inventory control and monthly stock reporting

Release PO and manage subcon services

Source and RFQ for new materials to support NPI project

Manage tooling spare purchasing, including releasing PO, follow up delivery, and invoice matching

About you

Minimum 4-5 years' experience in manufacturing line

Basic ISO Quality Management system understanding

Self motivated and independent with a positive working attitude

Good team-player with initiative

Fluent in English; Chinese is preferable

Computer literate with proficiency in Excel and Word

Basic ERP system experience is an added advantage

Understanding of materials planning and negotiation, follow up and problem-solving skills
