Job summary

Advanced Energy in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Supervisor of Production Planning to lead the Planning team, drive master scheduling, and optimize material planning and customer delivery commitments.

You will coordinate with Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Engineering, and Finance to align planning with business goals and drive continuous improvement in a high-pace manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Production Planning, Master Scheduling, Capacity Planning, Inventory Management, and MRP.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in SAP ERP and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily production planning, master scheduling, and material planning activities.
• Ensure production schedules align with capacity, material availability, and customer demand.
• Monitor and drive on-time delivery performance to meet customer commitments.
• Review and optimize production plans to maximize resource utilization and efficiency.
• Manage planning support for new product introductions, engineering changes, and growth initiatives.
• Oversee inventory management strategies to balance service levels and investment.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve planning and supply chain issues.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of planning personnel.
• Establish team goals, priorities, and performance expectations.
• Conduct performance evaluations and development planning.
