Job summary

Private Advertiser in Subang Jaya, Selangor is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations on a full-time basis. You will oversee production activities, manage scheduling, and drive efficiency on the production floor while upholding quality standards and a safe work environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in production management, strong skills in planning, lean methods, and ERP systems, and a proven ability to motivate teams and report on KPI

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate production teams effectively.
• Proficiency in production management software and ERP systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with cross-functional work experience.
• Knowledge of quality assurance standards and health and safety regulations.
• Experience with KPI tracking and performance reporting.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma, Kaizen, or related improvement frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations and monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage production planning and scheduling to optimise resource utilisation and minimise downtime.
• Supervise production staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and liaise with procurement to ensure materials are available.
• Identify process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Prepare production reports and provide regular updates to senior management on performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies on the production floor.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Coordinate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
