Job summary

DKSH Malaysia is seeking a Senior Product Specialist to drive medical product sales across Johor Bahru. You will engage clinicians and institutions, perform product demonstrations, and manage the territory with strong product knowledge and customer relationships.

The role requires at least one year of medical sales experience, excellent communication skills, and willingness to travel. You will collaborate with internal teams to deliver compelling quotations and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in Science or Medical field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar medical sales role.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in assigned territories preferred.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Track progress against KPIs and sales plans, prioritizing daily sales activities to maximize productivity and impact.

• Prepare quotation and tender prices, delivery terms, and commercial terms per policy.

About the Role

The Senior Product Specialist / Product Specialist (Medical Sales) drives sales performance and customer engagement for assigned medical products and territories within DKSH's Healthcare business. This role makes a meaningful contribution to DKSH's mission of enriching lives by connecting healthcare professionals and institutions with innovative medical solutions through disciplined territory management, expert product knowledge, and strong customer relationships.

What You Will Deliver

• Contribute to the development of medical sales plans and implement targeted action plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for assigned businesses and territories
• Track progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and sales plans, prioritizing and reviewing daily sales activities to maximize productivity and impact
• Engage existing and prospective customers through calls and visits to solicit orders, secure product demonstrations, and develop quotation opportunities
• Conduct compelling product demonstrations that highlight saleable features and communicate clear, relevant customer benefits
• Prepare quotation and tender prices, delivery terms, and commercial terms in accordance with company policies
• Monitor and report on competitor activities and product developments to inform sales strategy and maintain competitive positioning
• Record sales data accurately for reporting and tracking purposes, maintaining up-to-date customer information in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases
• Respond promptly to customer orders and queries, proactively informing current and prospective customers of promotions and new or upgraded products
• Maintain a customer complaints and issues log, following up diligently to ensure timely resolution and sustained customer satisfaction
• Execute continuous improvement activities to enhance sales processes, sales plans, and customer experience in support of sales target achievement
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery or installation of products and systems
• Support internal stakeholders in building and strengthening relationships with key customers
• Support the management of day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient use of resources

What You Bring

• Degree or professional qualification in a Science- or Medical-related discipline, with a minimum of one year of experience in a similar role
• Basic knowledge and understanding of the industry, market, competitors, customers, products, and services, with sound selling skills
• Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements for products within assigned territories, including handling procedures, shelf life, and warranties
• Willingness to travel outstation and provide coverage across multiple areas as required
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage and influence healthcare stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
