Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks a procurement professional to plan and execute purchasing of materials, parts and components for manufacturing. You will source sheet metal, standard components, and machining parts to meet production schedules.

Responsibilities include maintaining BOMs, lead times and pricing in the ERP system; monitoring supplier performance, driving cost reductions and lead-time improvements, and preparing monthly procurement reports for management.

Qualifications

• 3 years purchasing or sourcing experience in manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Good understanding of technical and engineering requirements.
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively with internal teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out purchasing of materials, parts and components.
• Source sheet metal, standard components and machining parts.
• Time orders to meet production needs while keeping inventory at the right level.
• Keep BOMs, lead times and pricing accurate in the system.
• Visit suppliers to check performance and contract compliance.
• Monitor cost, delivery and performance of major subcontractors.
• Lead cost-reduction and lead-time improvement efforts.
• Prepare monthly procurement reports for management.
