Job Description

The Senior Procurement Manager East Asia & Pacific (EAP) serves as the primary procurement business partner for assigned countries and regional functions, acting as the key link between Procurement, business leaders, and stakeholders across the region. Working closely with the Head of Procurement, this role is responsible for aligning and executing Global, Regional, and Country procurement strategies while driving strategic sourcing initiatives, optimizing supplier performance, and delivering sustainable business value.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Procurement Manager and trusted business partner to Sales, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Country Leadership teams, you will play a critical role in delivering sustainable cost improvements, supplier innovation, operational excellence and procurement best practices.

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
  • Develop and execute regional procurement and category strategies aligned with global sourcing objectives and business priorities.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to understand current and future business requirements, translating them into effective sourcing solutions.
  • Build and leverage Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models to support data-driven procurement decisions.
  • Drive supplier consolidation, sourcing optimization, cost reduction initiatives, and value creation opportunities.
  • Evaluate, qualify, and introduce new suppliers, technologies, and innovative solutions to enhance competitiveness and supply security.
  • Lead the deployment of Global and Regional Procurement strategies across assigned categories and markets.
Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
  • Manage a diverse supplier portfolio, ensuring optimal performance, quality, service, cost, and compliance standards.
  • Establish strategic supplier partnerships that foster continuous improvement, innovation, and long-term value creation.
  • Drive supplier development programs and resolve commercial, contractual, and operational challenges effectively.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain and supplier risks to ensure business continuity.
  • Maintain robust contract governance and ensure supplier agreements support business objectives.
Commercial Leadership & Negotiation
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations for strategic categories, major contracts, and high-value procurement projects.
  • Develop negotiation strategies that deliver favorable commercial outcomes while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Secure best-in-class pricing, contract terms, service levels, and risk mitigation measures.
  • Drive procurement savings, working capital improvements, and measurable value contributions to the business.
Procurement Operations & Process Excellence
  • Provide leadership and guidance to local procurement teams and buyers, ensuring procurement best practices are consistently applied.
  • Champion Procurement-to-Pay (P2P) process excellence, governance, compliance, and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor procurement performance metrics and identify opportunities to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  • Ensure accurate spend analytics, sourcing data, and procurement reporting to support informed business decisions.
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, including Managing Directors, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Commercial teams.
  • Influence key business decisions by providing strategic procurement insights, market intelligence, and risk assessments.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and drive alignment between procurement objectives and business priorities.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the region.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5 to 10 years of comprehensive procurement experience across direct and indirect categories, with proven success in delivering cost savings and supply continuity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and category management with measurable business results.
  • Strong understanding of local market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and proven ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with fluency in English and the local language.
