Job summary

Hartalega NGC Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Engineer - Engineering (Improvement) to lead improvement projects through process optimization and equipment enhancement, and to analyze performance to drive productivity, quality, and cost improvements.

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams, mentors Engineers and Technicians on improvement methodologies, and supports deployment of new technologies and Kaizen activities to achieve operational targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of plant maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 (IoT/Automation), manufacturing technologies, and GMP.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical plant systems (motors, pumps, piping, utilities).
• Experience in maintenance planning and execution.
• Ability to read technical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with plant safety standards and operational controls.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and technical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead process optimization and equipment improvement projects.
• Analyze operational performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct trials, studies, and validation activities.
• Support deployment of new technologies and engineering solutions.
• Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
• Monitor project execution and performance results.
• Track OEE, productivity, and efficiency improvements.
• Prepare improvement reports and recommendations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to implement solutions.
• Mentor Engineers and Technicians on improvement methodologies.
