SCHOTT Glass (M) Sdn Bhd seeks a senior Process Engineer to lead development, transfer, and qualification of new process tech and equipment for high-volume manufacturing in Penang. You will drive cpK, UPH, and yield improvements using 6sigma methods and coordinate cross-functional teams across R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Understanding of manufacturing processes in optical or semiconductor industry.
• Broad know how of manufacturing processes like CMP, Grinding, Thin Film Coating, Dicing, Stacking and CNC
• Proficiency with data analysis, DOE, 6sigma and statistical techniques.
• Deep know how in problem solving methods
• Excellent communication, organizational, and team building skills.
• Target driven personality with high execution focus
• More than 10 years experience in the field of process engineering or process industrialization within the semiconductor or optical industry
• BSc/MSC/PhD Degree in Mechatronics / Electronic Engineering / Photonics / Physics / Optics

Responsibilities

• Developing, transferring and qualification of new process technologies and new equipment from R&D to high volume manufacturing
• Achieving process capability and stability targets (cpK, UPH, yield) with 6sigma methods
• Lead the set up and qualification of new equipment for high volume manufacturing
• Formulate and deploy process and equipment improvement roadmaps
• Lead the department of process engineers to work for productivity improvements, cost excellence and business excellence projects
• Lead the team in systematic problem-solving approaches and develop the team, building up the core competency and expertise
• Work cross-functionally in a collaborative mode with multiple groups including R&D, Product Development, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to identify and resolve issues.
• Summarize complex problems, develop actions to address them, and build consensus across teams to drive for solutions according to project plans.
• Reporting progress and status to higher management and customers
