Job summary

SCHOTT in Malaysia (Kulim) seeks a senior Process Engineer leader to develop and transfer advanced process technologies and equipment from R&D to high-volume manufacturing, and to achieve cpK, UPH, and yield targets using Six Sigma methods.

You will lead the setup and qualification of new equipment, formulate roadmaps, mentor a team of process engineers, and collaborate with R&D, Quality and Manufacturing to solve complex issues and deliver on project plans.

Qualifications

• At least a BSc Degree in Mechatronics/related fields (Mechatronics, Electronics, Photonics, Physics, Optics).
• 10+ years in process engineering or industrialization in semiconductor or optical industry.
• Experience with CMP, Grinding, Thin Film Coating, Dicing, Stacking, and CNC processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and transfer new process technologies and equipment from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.
• Develop, transfer and qualify process technologies and equipment from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.
• Achieve cpK, UPH, and yield targets using Six Sigma methods.
• Lead the setup and qualification of new equipment for high-volume manufacturing.
• Formulate and deploy process and equipment improvement roadmaps.
• Lead the department of process engineers to work for productivity improvements, cost excellence and business excellence projects.
• Lead cross-functional problem solving with R&D, Product Development, Quality and Manufacturing.
• Summarize complex problems, develop actions to address them, and build consensus across teams to drive for solutions according to project plans.
