Emerson in Penang, Malaysia seeks a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to own end-to-end electronics production processes and drive continuous improvement. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians and ensure strict IPC-610/J-STD-001 compliance on assembly and test.

You will partner with R&D for DFM/DFA feedback, manage ECO/ECN, and oversee transfers to volume production while promoting a safety-first culture and EHS compliance.

Formación

• Must-have: a engineering degree in one of the specified disciplines and 12+ years in electronics manufacturing, including 5+ years leading engineers.
• Hands-on PCBA process experience (SMT, soldering, inspection) and working knowledge of IPC standards.
• Proven track record in yield/quality/cost improvement using SPC, FMEA and structured problem solving.
• Experience leading equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance activities.
• Experience introducing new products into volume production.
• Strong English communication skills for senior leadership presentations.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end manufacturing processes for electronics assembly and test.
• Establish process controls, PFMEA, control plans, and SPC targets.
• Lead 8D/DMAIC problem solving for yield and line-stoppage issues.
• Set annual targets for yield, scrap, cycle time, and cost of poor quality.
• Drive Lean and CI activities; justify capital investments from business case to qualification.
• Partner with R&D for DFM/DFA feedback and manufacturability input.
• Lead process development and qualification for new products; manage ECO/ECN and transfers.
• Coach and develop a team of engineers/technicians; ensure safety and EHS compliance.
• Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Production and Test Engineering; report KPIs.
