Job summary

Singtel is seeking an experienced Platform Infrastructure Engineer to operate, support, and troubleshoot enterprise private cloud infrastructure across physical, virtualization, and container platforms.

You will focus on Day 2 operations, manage Red Hat OpenShift/OpenShift Virtualization and Kubernetes environments, and work across compute, storage, networking, and hypervisors to maintain platform availability and resolve incidents.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
3–7+ years of infrastructure or cloud operations experience, with hands-on exposure to Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Experience supporting production infrastructure with incident/change/problem processes.
Hands-on experience operating enterprise Linux infrastructure, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Strong knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes/OpenShift workloads in production.

Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and support private cloud infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and container platforms.
Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, availability, and performance and take proactive action.
Troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure issues involving servers, storage, networking, operating systems, hypervisors, and platform components.
Manage and troubleshoot Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes environments, including pods, nodes, storage, networking, and resource constraints.
Troubleshoot application issues to determine origins across application, container, platform, network, storage, virtualization, or physical infra.
Support platform upgrades, patching, certificate management, and configuration changes.
Monitor infrastructure and workloads, respond to incidents, and troubleshoot using logs, metrics, alerts, and observability tools.
Develop runbooks and troubleshooting procedures; drive automation via scripting, IaC, and configuration management.
Support hardware/RMA activities and participate in on-call/operational support.
Collaborate with Change Management to propose/implement patching and ongoing resiliency improvements.
Ensure SLAs are met and craft reports/metrics for capacity planning and improvements.
