Job summary

Brooks Automation Malaysia is seeking a Planning Manager to lead Production Planning and Materials Planning, aligning demand with supply and optimizing inventory to sustain uninterrupted manufacturing and growth.

The role collaborates with Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Logistics and Global Planning, driving ERP discipline, SIOP processes, and continuous improvement while developing a high-performing planning team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 10–12 years in supply chain, planning or manufacturing operations.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing planners.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience in semiconductor capital equipment or electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Strong understanding of SIOP, MRP, inventory management and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Production Planning and Materials Planning teams.
• Establish planning KPIs, performance objectives and succession plans.
• Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and customer focus.
• Own and manage Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet commitments.
• Develop capacity plans to support growth and operational efficiency.
• Review demand, backlog, forecast changes and production constraints.
• Ensure timely creation, release and management of production work orders.
• Drive schedule adherence and manufacturing execution performance.
• Coordinate supplier capacity and materials readiness across sites.
