Job summary

Leighton Asia Limited in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to develop, maintain and monitor integrated project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring milestones are met and critical paths are managed.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, deliver progress reports and dashboards, mentor junior planners, and uphold planning standards across large-scale infrastructure and MEP projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and knowledge of CPM, project controls, and progress reporting.
• Experience in Data Center, mission-critical, industrial, infrastructure, or large-scale MEP projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 to ensure milestones are achieved.
• Conduct critical path analysis, identify schedule risks, and implement recovery and mitigation plans to minimize delays.
• Prepare and present project progress reports, S-curves, manpower histograms, forecasts, and planning dashboards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to support project execution and reporting requirements.
• Mentor Planning Engineers and junior staff while promoting planning best practices, safety requirements, and project control standards.
