Job summary

UST is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to own end-to-end development across PHP, React.js, and cloud services. You will design, implement, test, and deploy scalable solutions, leveraging Laravel/CodeIgniter, Python, Linux/Nginx, and modern SDLC practices.

Strong focus on secure coding and GenAI/LLM-enabled engineering. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with REST APIs, CI/CD, and automated testing using Selenium/Puppeteer/Playwright, delivering reliable

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software programming and application design.
• 5+ years of PHP application development.
• 3+ years of React.js experience.
• Strong OO, analysis, design and development skills.
• Solid MySQL experience; Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL helpful.
• Proficient with Laravel and CodeIgniter.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Hands-on AWS cloud services and deployment.
• Linux/Nginx experience.
• Automated testing and browser automation (Selenium, Puppeteer, Playwright).
