Job summary

TE Connectivity Manufacturing Malaysia seeks an experienced MPDE/Procurement professional to support PCBA supplier qualification, NPI and approved supplier management. You will coordinate capability assessments, drive DFM discussions, and lead cross-functional reviews with Procurement, SQE, PDE, MPDE and Engineering to ensure readiness and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation, Mechanical or related Engineering majors.
• 7+ years MPDE experience within PCBA, connector and cable assembly QMS, Procurement and supply chain OR 10+ years across industries including PCBA.
• Knowledge of PCBA processes: SMT/THT, box build, testing, packaging.
• Familiarity with DFM/DFA, BOM management and supplier capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Procurement, SQE, PDE, MPDE, and Engineering to assess and document manufacturing capability and QMS during PCBA supplier qualification and development.
• Engage upstream and downstream raw material partners to improve delivery capability and supplier responsiveness.
• Lead cross-functional reviews with PDE, MPDE, and suppliers to address delivery risks and manufacturing readiness.
• Track and close cross-functional and supplier action items, escalating gaps as needed.
• Provide early manufacturing and engineering support for PCBA commodities from sourcing and supply chain perspectives to support supplier selection decisions.
• Coordinate DFM discussions with suppliers and Engineering to ensure manufacturing requirements are understood and accepted.
• Act as interface between Procurement and Engineering to align quality, commercial, and technical expectations.
• Drive yield, process stability, and delivery performance improvements at supplier sites.
• Collaborate with suppliers and supply chain nodes to improve lead time and delivery reliability for TE samples and production.
• Partner with CM and Procurement to support SRM programs for strategic PCBA suppliers, tracking action plan execution.
