Job summary

Phili-Orient Logistics (PG) Sdn Bhd (Phili-Orient Group) is seeking a Senior Operation Officer (Custom Brokerage) to manage customs declarations in line with applicable laws and ensure timely submission of forms. You will respond to customs queries, update form statuses for urgent shipments, and keep accurate records of forms, reports, stock cards, and checklists.

The role requires a Diploma, 2 years' experience, knowledge of customs documentation, strong English and interpersonal skills, and

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in related field.
• 2 years of working experience in a similar position or industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of Customs/Port documentation and regulations is desirable.
• Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills are required.
• Experience handling domestic customs clearance and declaration procedures is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• a) Responsible for custom declaration for all required legislation movement according to Customs Act.
• b) Ensure custom forms are declared correctly and within the stipulated time.
• c) Attend to customs queries on any declaration issue.
• d) Provide an update on the customs form status for any urgent shipments.
• e) Provide an update on the custom form status for any urgent shipments and/or if required.
• f) Ensure all internal/external records (i.e. custom form and report, stock card, Intel's checklists) for all jobs are updated on a timely basis and accurately.
• g) Ensure the shipment moving in/out are according to custom rules.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• a) Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or equivalent of education in related field.
• b) Prefer with 2 years of working experience in a similar position or industry.
• c) Having knowledge of Customs/Port documentation and regulations might be desirable
• d) Possess excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills
• e) Experience handling domestic customs clearance and declaration procedures is an added advantage.
• f) Have excellent Customer Service Skills.
