Job summary

Pan Asia Software Solutions in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Analyst, Web Services & MQ (OCP) to manage Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters and related infrastructure on-site. The role includes designing, deploying, patching, and automating OCP components while collaborating with developers for optimal performance.

You will develop automation scripts in shell and Python, provide 24/7 support on a rotation, and leverage IBM MQ/WebLogic/WebSphere knowledge as value adds.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting OCP or Kubernetes.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in container image deployment.
• Minimum 5 years of Unix operating systems, configurations, maintenance, and upgrade.
• Basic knowledge in developing Java applications/microservices.
• Familiar with DevOps tools such as GitHub.
• Knowledge in Cloud Native Architecture will be added value.
• Knowledge of IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM MQ, Oracle WebLogic and webservices such as Apache will be added value.
• Knowledge in SSL cert generation and installation.
• Good knowledge in Python, Ansible, Shell scripting & etc.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills and problem identification.
• Able to work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide end to end support for Red Hat OCP including managing and ensuring system uptime.
• Design, setup and build of Red Hat OCP infrastructure.
• Patch, bug fix, and upgrade of Red Hat OCP.
• Develop scripts in shell/python to automate monitoring and repetitive job.
• Provide 24/7 support on weekly rotational basis.
• Collaborate with application team to fine tune performance of applications running in OCP.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and follow up with Red Hat support.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations and maintenance of critical web base applications.
• Follow configuration and security standards and Change Management process.
• Assist with implementing solutions for web base applications; monitor changes.
