Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer for a major offshore oil & gas project based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role targets senior professionals with offshore facilities, detailed design, and multidisciplinary project execution.

The successful candidate will design and optimize process systems, lead deliverables, run simulations and feasibility studies, and mentor junior engineers within a multi-discipline team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive process engineering experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Proven offshore detailed design project experience.
• Strong background in greenfield developments and offshore production facilities.
• Experience working with equipment vendors and multi-disciplinary teams.
• EPC/EPCI project experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize process systems to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead development and review of process engineering deliverables and technical documentation.
• Conduct process simulations, evaluations, feasibility studies, and engineering calculations.
• Develop and implement process control strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Interface with equipment vendors to develop optimum solutions.
• Participate in technical reviews, design workshops, and risk assessments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
