Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a senior Lead Process Engineer for a major offshore development project based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role focuses on detailed design, CPPs, and large greenfield developments, with responsibilities spanning from technical leadership to vendor interfacing.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in offshore process engineering, strong leadership, and a solid track record in CPP projects, with experience in offshore EPC/EPCI settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive process engineering experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Direct offshore detailed design project experience.
• Proven experience leading process engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering activities throughout detailed design and project execution.
• Develop and review process deliverables, including process calculations, heat and material balances, PFDs, and P&IDs.
• Conduct process simulations, evaluations, and feasibility studies.
• Develop and implement process control strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Interface with equipment vendors to ensure optimum technical and commercial solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, technical workshops, and client discussions.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to support a major offshore oil & gas development project based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This opportunity is suited for a senior process engineering professional with a strong background in offshore detailed design, Central Processing Platforms (CPPs), and large-scale greenfield developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering activities throughout detailed design and project execution.
• Develop and review process engineering deliverables, including process calculations, heat and material balances, PFDs, and P&IDs.
• Conduct process simulations, evaluations, and feasibility studies.
• Develop and implement process control strategies.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Interface with equipment vendors to ensure optimum technical and commercial solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, technical workshops, and client discussions.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive process engineering experience within the oil & gas industry.
• Direct experience in offshore detailed design projects.
• Proven experience working on large Central Processing Platform (CPP) projects.
• Strong greenfield project background.
• Previous experience supporting major offshore EPC/EPCI developments.
• Middle East project experience is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading process engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary activities.
• Strong understanding of process design methodologies, industry standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
