Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Lead Piping Engineer for a major offshore oil & gas project based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role focuses on detailed design of offshore piping systems, CPPs, and large greenfield developments, with a strong emphasis on leadership and multidisciplinary coordination.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 15+ years of piping experience, including offshore CPP projects, and a proven record of leading teams across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive piping engineering experience in oil & gas.
• Experience on offshore detailed design projects and CPPs.
• Proven leadership of piping teams and multidisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead piping activities through detailed design and project execution.
• Review and approve piping deliverables, layouts, specs, and material requisitions.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, structural, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, standards, and client requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, model reviews, constructability reviews, workshops.
• Interface with equipment vendors and stakeholders to optimize solutions.
• Support project planning, execution, and delivery within schedule and budget.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to piping engineers and designers.
