Job summary

Wood is seeking a Lead Piping Engineer to join our Malaysia team on a 12-month fixed-term contract commencing December 2026. The role focuses on piping design for offshore oil & gas projects, including greenfield and brownfield redevelopment during the FEED phase.

You will lead a project team, set technical direction, and ensure safety and compliance while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver robust engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Must hold legal working rights in Malaysia (Malaysia Citizen or Permanent Resident).
• Suitably qualified in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Proven experience in piping engineering within Oil & Gas production/processing industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead piping engineering across mature offshore facilities with focus on green & brownfield redevelopment, asset integrity, and life extension.
• Set clear technical direction for direct reports on assigned projects and scopes.
• Represent the piping discipline in design reviews, HAZOPs, HazIDs and LOPA.
