Ruijie Networks is seeking a Senior NPI Engineer to own end-to-end introduction of single-board PCB/PCBA products at our Malaysia manufacturing site. You will bridge RD/design in China and the local factory, ensuring on-schedule transfers to production with target yield, cost, and quality.

This hands-on role covers DFM/DFA reviews, trial production, yield ramp improvements, and handover to mass production. English is working language; Mandarin required for China teams.

Qualifications

• ≥ 5 years of experience in PCBA/NPI or SMT process engineering (recent role).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Fluent Mandarin and English (working language).

Responsibilities

Salary Range: RM 7,000 – RM 12,000 per month (commensurate with experience; 13th-month salary performance bonus negotiable)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer to own the end-to-end introduction of single-board (PCB/PCBA) products — from design hand-off through engineering builds to mass-production ramp-up — at our manufacturing site in Malaysia.

You will be the bridge between the RD/design team (based in China) and the local factory. Your mission: make sure every new board transfers into production on schedule, at target yield, at target cost, and with quality — while turning design language into manufacturing language.This is a hands-on, factory-floor role.

You will run DFM reviews, drive trial production, lead yield-ramp improvements, and manage the handover to volume production.Key

Responsibilities

• 1. Design Hand-off DFM (Stage 0)Lead DFM/DFA reviews from a manufacturability perspective; challenge design for pad spacing, component clearance, test points, panelization, and tooling.Validate BOM manufacturability and availability; flag long-lead or risk items early.Develop NPI project plans with clear milestones (EVT/DVT/PVT) and risk registers.
• 2. Trial Production Readiness (Stage 1)Prepare and maintain process documentation: PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP/WI.Ensure jigs, fixtures, and ICT/FCT test programs are ready and verified before builds.Drive readiness reviews covering material, equipment, and manpower; obtain signed readiness checklists.
• 3. Engineering Builds Line Support (Stage 2)Oversee SMT process validation on-site: solder paste printing, placement, reflow profiling, AOI/inspection parameters.Log, classify, and drive issues to closure (blocking / minor / optimization) with clear owners and deadlines; apply 8D / 5-Why / fishbone root-cause methods.Perform failure analysis on defective boards (soldering, component, and test-related) using X-Ray, AOI, cross-section reports, etc.
• 4. PVT, Ramp-up Handover (Stage 3)Monitor and drive yield ramp-up; interpret CPK and first-pass yield trends and execute improvement loops.Lead transfer review (quality / capacity / cost gate); formally approve or reject mass-production readiness.Manage ECN / ECO / PCN changes with full impact assessment and traceability.
• 5. Continuous Improvement Knowledge Management (Stage 4)Organize project retrospectives and maintain a Lessons-Learned database across projects.Standardize processes and best practices; champion repeatable, efficient NPI flows.

Qualifications

Must-Have (Hard Requirements)≥ 5 years of experience, with at least 2 years directly in PCBA / single-board NPI or SMT process engineering (recent role).

Bachelors degree or above in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.Fluent Mandarin (spoken written) — required for direct communication with the China-based design/management teams;

English as working language (spoken written).Proven ability to run the full NPI cycle: DFM readiness engineering builds PVT mass-production handover.Hands-on knowledge of SMT/PCBA processes (printing, placement, reflow, AOI/X-Ray) and failure-analysis fundamentals.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

Full ownership of 2+ NPI projects from trial build to mass-production handover.Experience in large EMS/ODM/MNC factories (e.g., Molex, Jabil, Flex, Sanmina, TTM, Motorola Solutions, Celestica, Benchmark, Venture).Dual capability in SMT process + test engineering (ICT/FCT).Documented yield-ramp / failure-analysis success cases with data.

Experience collaborating with cross-country, cross-time-zone teams (China / US / Europe).Domain experience in communication, server/network, or automotive electronics.
