Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to own the transition of complex electromechanical, electronic, and fluidics-based products from design into stable, scalable manufacturing environments. In this high-impact role, you will lead DVT/PVT build readiness; establish robust traceability, configuration control, and documentation systems; and guide cross-functional teams through the challenges of stabilizing high-density, high-complexity assemblies. You will collaborate closely with Design Engineering, customers, manufacturing sites, Test Engineering, and Business Unit leadership to ensure NPI builds meet schedule, quality, and performance expectations. You will help mature products from restricted-lab prototyping into full production while maintaining strict control of materials, configurations, and process documentation. This role offers broad visibility, significant ownership of manufacturing readiness, and the opportunity to improve cost, quality, and manufacturability across advanced semiconductor capital equipment programs.

What will you do?
  • Build Preparation & Manufacturing Readiness
  • Lead DVT/PVT manufacturing preparation by defining build requirements and readiness expectations with design teams and customers.
  • Design and commission work areas, material flows, and storage solutions supporting prototype and pilot-line activities.
  • Develop and maintain complete, accurate Visual Aids, improving them based on yield results, inspection needs, and build-flow optimization.
  • Support resource planning and task assignment to achieve schedule commitments.
  • Traceability, Configuration Control & Documentation
  • Define and implement robust traceability and configuration-management systems to preserve material and build fidelity across all NPI phases.
  • Lead documentation readiness (redlines, specification reviews, build updates, future action requirements) for DVT/PVT builds.
  • Support product transfer to production via extended launch schedules to ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Quality, Test Support & Troubleshooting
  • Partner with Test Engineering on troubleshooting, issue resolution, and structured test data collection.
  • Ensure operators are properly trained and inspection strategies meet quality-first expectations.
  • Apply quality system practices including IQ/OQ/PQ, Gage R&R, and validation techniques.
  • Cost, Process Improvement & VAVE
  • Contribute to cost forecasting and maintain budget visibility for engineering leadership.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities through process streamlining, task consolidation, or system redesign.
  • Provide VAVE quotations supporting business development and program quoting activities.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Customer Collaboration
  • Work concurrently with Design Engineering, CAD Services, Business Unit Management, Manufacturing, Test, Purchasing, and Quality teams throughout design and ramp phases.
  • Present build readiness, performance results, and capabilities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use RACI structures to drive accountability and alignment across global teams.
