Greatech Integration (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a New Product Introduction Engineer to lead end-to-end NPI program execution from prototype through mass production readiness in Penang, Malaysia. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, review specifications and BOMs, and drive process development and CAPA activities.

The role requires strong leadership, customer-facing communication, and experience with PFMEA, DFMs, and ECNs/ECOs to ensure manufacturability and timely delivery of new products.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years experience in NPI, manufacturing engineering or product industrialization within EMS/ODM/JDM
• Strong knowledge of BOM structures and PFMEA
• Understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, assembly, PCBA and testing
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-facing skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end NPI program execution from prototype to mass production readiness.
• Develop and maintain NPI project timelines, deliverables and risk assessments.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet customer milestones.
• Act as primary technical liaison with customers for NPI builds, engineering queries, design changes and reviews.
• Review customer specs, drawings and BOMs for manufacturability and clarity.
• Drive process development, validation and documentation for new products.
• Develop and review PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Identify and implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) improvements and drive ECN/ECO.
• Plan and execute engineering builds with material readiness and build reports.
• Analyze build issues, lead root cause investigations and implement CAPA.
• Support customer audits, internal audits and new product quality reviews.
• Monitor NPI quality metrics and drive improvement actions.
• Collaborate with sourcing on part manufacturability, supplier readiness and cost targets.
• Review and approve supplier PPAPs or equivalent qualification documentation.
• Other duties as required by supervision.
