Job summary

Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Sr. Engineer to provide technical support for manufacturing equipment and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a strong mechanical/industrial engineering background, English proficiency and mandatory Chinese language skills, and a minimum of 5 years in manufacturing. Night shifts and weekend OT may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality tools, and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Good command of English; Chinese language proficiency is mandatory.
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for manufacturing equipment to ensure stable and continuous operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and corrective actions for machines and tooling.
• Improve machine performance and reliability through root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor equipment performance data to identify trends and recurring issues.
• Prepare and maintain equipment status reports, downtime analysis, and corrective action tracking.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Industrial Engineering to resolve technical issues and implement process improvements.
• Support machine installation, commissioning, modification, and validation activities.
• Assist in audit preparation and support corrective and preventive actions related to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
• Provide on-site technical support during critical production periods and be available for night shifts when required.
