Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design activities across the product lifecycle, from NPI to issue resolution. The role requires hands-on CAD work, tolerance analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable hardware.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of mechanical design experience, strong knowledge of sheet metal and plastics, and proficiency in Creo Parametric. Battery or charger design experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of mechanical design experience.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal and plastics.
• Familiar with SMT, ultrasonic/resistance welding, and low-pressure molding.
• Proficient in Creo Parametric and mechanical tolerance analysis.
• Experience with battery, power supply, or charger design.
• Ability to present technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design 3D CAD models, advanced surfaces, and compliant 2D drafting prints.
• Analyze mechanical tolerance analysis and DFMEA to ensure product reliability.
• Document BOMs, engineering prints, and qualification reports.
• Test prototype builds, perform mechanical verification tests, and write test reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams from concept stage to high-volume manufacturing.
