Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an Experienced Mechanical Engineer to drive end-to-end product development for batteries, chargers, and power solutions. You will design with 3D CAD, draft detailed drawings, perform DFMEA and tolerance analyses, and support prototypes though to mass production.

You will also manage BOMs, release mechanical prints, and ensure energy-safety standards are applied throughout the design and assembly process.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical engineering and end-to-end product development.
• Proficient with 3D modeling/surfacing and producing 2D mechanical drawings.
• Ability to perform DFMEA and mechanical tolerance analysis.
• Knowledge of safety standards for energy products like batteries and chargers.
• Clear written communication for technical reports and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Drive product development from concept to mass production while meeting customer expectations and safety guidelines.
• Design and draft using CAD; create detailed 2D drawings per drafting standards.
• Analyze and optimize via DFMEA and tolerance analysis for reliability.
• Build, test, and document prototypes and pilot runs with test reports.
• Manage BOMs, release prints, and compile technical documentation for manuals.
• Ensure energy product safety is integrated into design and assembly processes.
