You will mentor junior engineers, drive system-level architecture, and collaborate with suppliers on critical tolerances.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of mechanical design experience for equipment, automation, or machinery.
• Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD, tolerancing, and GD&T.
• Strong understanding of precision mechanisms, motion systems, thermal and structural behaviour.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment integration.
• Capable of speaking Chinese is highly preferred for client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end mechanical design for major modules or full equipment platforms.
• Lead concept development, detailed design, tolerance strategy, and release to production.
• Champion DFM/DFA and manufacturing excellence across the design team.
• Provide technical leadership, design reviews, and mentoring to Mechanical Design Engineers.
• Define mechanical interfaces, datum structures, and modular design strategies.
• Identify and mitigate mechanical design risks early in the project lifecycle.
• Drive cost optimisation through design simplification, standardisation, and value engineering.
• Define and review design verification and validation plans for mechanical systems.
