Job summary

Agilent Technologies is seeking a Senior Materials Engineer to improve supplier piece-parts quality and evaluate alternative materials and suppliers to maintain quality, supply, and pricing. You will provide technical support for NPI and product transfer, assist manufacturing with material-related issues, and guide less experienced engineers.

You will identify inspection needs, analyze data, and drive supplier quality improvement programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Materials Eng, or Electrical Eng with minimum 5 years related experience.
Experienced in manufacturing and supplier engineering role.
Resourcefulness, attention to detail, analytical skills and solution-oriented.

Responsibilities

Improve supplier piece-parts quality and evaluate alternative materials or suppliers.
Provide technical support for NPI and Product Transfer.
Assist manufacturing in resolving material-related issues.
Lead in sourcing substitute materials to reduce costs and ensure supply and/or improve quality.
Analyze inspection, evaluation and test data and feedback quality performance.
