Keysight is seeking a Materials Engineer to drive supplier quality issue resolution and initiate cost-saving re-engineering efforts. You will guide supplier audits, lead material and part recommendations, and collaborate with procurement and product teams to improve manufacturability and conformance with the global supply chain.
You will work with suppliers on technical studies, root cause analyses, and qualification plans to meet Keysight quality expectations and future roadmap needs.
As a materials engineer, you will be responsible for driving suppliers on quality issue resolution to meet Keysight quality expectations and proposing initiatives for cost savings opportunities through re-engineering efforts.
Develop strategic supplier capabilities to effectively support Keysight's overall sourcing and technical requirements, providing technical recommendations as needed
Actively explore and source new technologies through market research to meet Keysight's future requirements
Lead cost saving initiatives projects with product leads on alternative material and part recommendations and qualification plans that meet Keysight product requirements
Influence product design to ensure materials manufacturability and conformance with the global supply chain
Collaborate with procurement and internal product teams to improve and sustain products and processes through technical understanding of material technology obsolescence and future roadmap
Lead and work with suppliers on technical specifications studies and perform root cause analysis to meet Keysight quality expectations
Lead and conduct supplier audits to drive supplier process standardization and continuous improvement efforts
