Job summary

Keysight seeks a senior engineer to lead strategic suppliers in Penang, driving commodity strategy to ensure supply assurance. You will guide supplier technology development and quality performance across design and manufacturing, applying DFX, RCCA and 8D methodologies.

You will collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and global suppliers, mentor engineers, and strengthen internal capabilities. A mechanical engineering degree with 8–11 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical and project management skills.
• 8–11 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Design, DFM, RCA, CAD, FEA and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic suppliers and influence commodity strategy to ensure assurance of supply (AOS).
• Drive supplier technology development and quality performance (e.g., DFX, RCCA, 8D, etc).
• Explore and lead the use of alternate materials/processes/new technology/design improvement to achieve cost savings, quality improvement, and AOS aligned with Keysight's business needs.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and worldwide suppliers to resolve complex technical and manufacturing issues.
• Provide technical guidance, mentor engineers and strengthen internal technical capabilities.

• Strong knowledge in Design, DFM, RCA, CAD, FEA tools and mechanical parts fabrication processes (e.g., Sheet Metal, Plastic, Packaging, Additive Manufacturing, etc.).
