Job summary

Keysight in Malaysia is seeking a Materials Engineer to drive supplier quality improvements and cost-saving initiatives across the sourcing and manufacturing network.

You will analyze materials and processes, lead supplier audits, and collaborate with procurement and product teams to ensure quality, manufacturability, and alignment with Keysight's global supply chain strategy.

Experience with RF/Microwave MMIC is a plus, and strong analytical skills with Six Sigma methods are valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience; entry level.
  • RF Microwave & MMIC experience is a plus.
  • Strong data analysis and Six Sigma knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Develop supplier quality initiatives to resolve issues and improve Keysight quality.
  • Source new technologies via market research to meet future requirements.
  • Lead cost-saving projects with alternative materials and qualification plans.
  • Influence product design for manufacturability and supply chain alignment.
  • Collaborate with procurement and product teams to manage obsolescence and roadmaps.
  • Lead supplier audits and drive process standardization and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

As materials engineer, you will be responsible to drive supplier for quality issue resolution to meet Keysight quality expectation, propose initiatives for cost savings opportunities thru re-engineering effort. The key responsibilities are:-

  • To develop Strategic Supplier’s capabilities to effectively support Keysight’s overall sourcing and technical requirements. Able to provide technical recommendations as per needed.
  • Actively explore and be able to source new technologies through market research to meet Keysight’s future requirements.
  • To lead on cost saving initiatives project withPLs onalternative material/part recommendation and qualification plan that meetKeysight products requirements.
  • Influencing the product design to ensure materials manufacturability and conformance with the global supply chain.
  • Collaborating with procurement and internal product team to improve/ sustain products and processes through technical understanding about material technology obsolescence and future road map.
  • To lead and work with suppliers for technical specifications study and perform root cause analysis to meet Keysight quality expectation.
  • Lead and conduct supplier audits to drive supplier process standardization and continuous improvement effort.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors or University Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent. Typically 3+ years relevant experience for entry to this level.
  • Candidate who has prior technical experience in managing RF Microwave & MMIC components will be an added advantage.
  • Strong technical background in component failure analysis process will be an added advantage too.
  • Working knowledge of quality tools such as SPC/Process Control, FEMEA, Problem Solving/Root Cause Analysis and other Six Sigma tools.
  • Effective communication skills, including proficiency in English and able to interact with all levels of employees.
  • A great team player who is willing to work extra miles, new ideas generation to support organization growth.
