Job summary

WD in Malaysia is seeking a highly motivated engineer to join our automation and equipment development team in Kuching. This role focuses on troubleshooting, installation, modification, and automation of process equipment, with opportunities to design integrated mechanical, electrical, software, and AI solutions.

You will develop maintenance procedures, SOPs, safety standards, and training materials, while collaborating with process, manufacturing and automation teams to drive equipment

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Interest in automation, AI, robotics, and new technologies is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support equipment troubleshooting, installation, qualification, modification, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement equipment automation and upgrades using AI and automation technologies.
• Prepare electrical drawings, wiring layouts, software debugging, and control systems for cleaning equipment.
• Integrate different equipment modules and systems to ensure stable and reliable operation.
• Design, modify, and assemble mechanical and electrical components to improve equipment performance for various processes.
• Develop maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing procedures for electrical and electronic components.
• Work with process, manufacturing, automation teams, and suppliers to identify problems and drive improvements.
