Job summary

DayOne is seeking an experienced procurement leader to drive OPEX procurement across Malaysia. You will develop strategies, run tenders, negotiate contracts, and manage vendors to achieve cost savings and value improvements.

You will partner with Operations, Finance, Legal and other stakeholders to ensure compliant, timely procurement and to strengthen supplier performance in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of procurement experience with strong OPEX/FM/maintenance procurement exposure.
• Proven experience in tender management, contract negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage OPEX procurement activities across Malaysia, including FM, maintenance, facilities, utilities and related services.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies, sourcing plans, tendering and contract negotiations to drive cost savings.
• Manage key vendors and contracts, including performance, pricing, SLA/KPI and terms.
• Collaborate with Operations, ADM, Finance, Legal and stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant procurement execution.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with policies, DOA, governance and audit requirements.
• Drive cost optimization, supplier consolidation, process improvement and procurement efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage OPEX procurement activities across Malaysia, covering FM, maintenance, facilities, utilities, and other operational services.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies, sourcing plans, tendering, and contract negotiations to achieve cost savings and value improvement.
• Manage key vendors and contracts, including performance, pricing, SLA/KPI, and commercial terms.
• Partner closely with Operations, ADM, Finance, Legal, and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant procurement execution.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, DOA, governance, and audit requirements.
• Drive cost optimization, supplier consolidation, process improvement, and procurement efficiency.
• Lead, coach, and develop the OPEX procurement team across Malaysia.
• Provide procurement insights, market intelligence, and management reporting to senior leadership.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of procurement experience, with strong OPEX/FM/maintenance procurement exposure.
• Proven experience in tender management, contract negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimization.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team and work independently in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
• Experience in data center, facilities management, engineering, or similar industries is an advantage.
