Responsibilities include setting technical standards, proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and alignment with business priorities while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cloud technologies and operations.
• Proven expertise in Azure and/or AWS within enterprise environments.
• ITIL or equivalent certifications preferred.

The Senior Manager, Cloud Operations is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining, governing, and delivering cloud operations capabilities across AIA’s enterprise Azure-based cloud platform.

This role is accountable for end-to-end service reliability, operational excellence, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement, while leading a high-performing global operations team supporting 24/7 business-critical services.

The role combines technical depth, people leadership, cost optimization through operational efficiency, and strategic influence to enable secure, scalable, and resilient cloud services for Group Office and Local Business Units.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and be accountable for 24/7 cloud operations, ensuring reliable and high-quality service delivery
• Develop team capability through active coaching and mentoring, strengthening overall performance
• Establish and enforce technical standards and operational best practices
• according to AIA group requirements.
• Ensure cloud environment stability through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement
• Manage operational risk identification and mitigation to ensure service reliability
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies related to cloud services.
• Support to ensure compliance with relevant legislative specifications and standards.
• Lead high-severity incident resolution as escalation and technical authority
• Partner with stakeholders to align operations with business and technical needs
• Deliver operational initiatives aligned with business and service priorities

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in cloud technologies and operational support, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role
• Proven expertise in public cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) within enterprise environments
• Strong experience in cloud implementation, workload migration, and multi-site operations support
• Demonstrated experience in supporting enterprise-scale cloud services with automation capabilities
• Solid understanding of IT operating models and industry best practices (e.g., ITIL)
• Experience working in decentralized or global organizations, preferably within group structures
• Proven track record in leading teams, coaching talent, and driving performance outcomes
• Experience managing or coordinating with service providers and vendors, ensuring effective execution of operational processes (e.g., backup, patching, monitoring, provisioning)
• Relevant certifications such as Azure, AWS, ITIL, or equivalent are preferred
• Experience in a top-tier multinational organization is an advantage
