Job summary

Accenture is seeking a seasoned AS400/IBM S/390 COBOL developer in Malaysia. You will design, develop, and configure COBOL modules and interfaces, working with SQL and DB2 in a banking/payments context.

You will participate in a team delivering quality software to a timeline while adopting standard design practices. You will collaborate with clients, continuously enhance functionality, and stay updated with the latest trends in AS400/COBOL development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
5–8 years of AS400 or IBM S/390 COBOL development experience, especially in banking/payments domain
Working knowledge of AS400 or IBM S/390, COBOL, SQL and DB2
Awareness of JIRA and ALDON
Involved in complete software delivery lifecycle and maintaining AS400 applications
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients

Responsibilities

Design, develop and configure AS400 or IBM S/390 COBOL software modules, interfaces and components
Work in a team environment delivering quality software to meet requirements within a timeline
Explore new business solutions to continually enhance functionality
Adopt standards and methodologies of application design and functionality
