Job summary

SIN HENG CHAN (MALAYA) BERHAD is seeking a Senior M&E Coordinator to lead and coordinate all M&E works for a hospital construction project in Kuching, Sarawak. You will report to the Project Manager and ensure design coordination, drawings review, and compliance with requirements and authorities.

The role includes managing M&E subcontractors, overseeing testing and commissioning, RFIs, inspections, and timely handover. This is a 24-month contract with urgent start and competitive remuneration.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or related disciplines.
• Senior M&E Coordinator: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• M&E Coordinator: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in hospital, healthcare, commercial, or large-scale building projects is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in testing & commissioning and BIM coordination is an added advantage.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken & written).
• Urgent hiring (can start immediately).
• Preferably SARAWAKIANS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all M&E works including Electrical (HV & LV), ELV, BMS & ICT, ACMV, Plumbing & Sanitary, Medical Gas systems, and others.
• Design & Technical Coordination: review drawings, shop drawings, and technical submissions; coordinate with consultants/subcontractors; ensure compliance with standards.
• Construction Management: monitor M&E installation works and site progress; coordinate subcontractors and site teams; conduct site inspections; manage RFIs and approvals; coordinate testing and commissioning; support authority inspections and handover.
• Stakeholder Management: liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities; attend coordination meetings; report progress; resolve issues promptly.
