Job summary

AMK Technology is seeking an experienced L2 Middleware Support Engineer in Malaysia to own production support, triage incidents, and troubleshoot complex middleware stacks including IBM WebSphere, WMQ, and WebMethods. You will work with architects, DBAs, and dev teams to ensure high availability and rapid RCA across hybrid cloud environments (Azure/AKS).

Immediate availability for relocation is preferred. The role requires 3–5+ years in middleware, strong SQL and UNIX skills, and experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/IT/SE or related field.
• 3–5+ years in enterprise middleware administration or L2 production support.
• Hands-on with IBM WebSphere and WebSphere MQ.
• Experience with WebMethods and IBM WTX/ITX.
• Knowledge of API gateways (Apigee, Axway) and Azure/AKS.
• Oracle SQL and UNIX/Linux administration.
• EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, XML) experience.
• Willingness for full-time Malaysia role with visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 production support and incident management across middleware.
• Administer WAS and clustered middleware environments.
• Support WebMethods, IBM WTX/ITX data transforms.
• Manage WMQ queues, channels, and subscriptions.
• Oversee API gateways like Apigee and Axway.
• Troubleshoot EDI data flows (X12/EDIFACT/XML).
• Run Oracle SQL queries and UNIX log analysis.
• Administer Azure/AKS container workloads.
• Conduct RCA and post-mortems on incidents.
• Collaborate with L1/L3, developers, and clients during incidents.
