Job summary

Tentacle Tech is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our on-site contract team in Malaysia. You will design, develop, and maintain critical enterprise components in a fast-paced banking-related environment, working with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions.

The role emphasizes strong Java/J2SE skills, WebLogic/Tomcat experience, and a solid understanding of TCP/IP, sockets, and SOAP/JSON. Excellent English communication is essential for success in this team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of technology experience, including at least 5 years in hands-on technical roles.
• Strong hands-on Java/J2SE expertise and enterprise-grade design skills.
• Experience with WebLogic, Tomcat, and SQL Server 2022 is required or advantageous.
• Excellent written and spoken English for stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Define development objectives by analyzing user requirements and envisioning system features.
• Design and develop application components and set priorities for the lifecycle.
• Choose design methodologies, tools, and languages to deliver robust solutions.
• Evaluate custom development versus purchase options to recommend systems.
• Coordinate requirements, schedules and activities to complete development work.
• Troubleshoot issues across environments and provide end-user documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
